YouTube car builder Mat Armstrong has revealed the three cars he’d choose if money was no object — and his picks perfectly reflect his passion for luxury, raw driving emotion, and hypercar engineering.
Speaking on the Cars & Money podcast, Armstrong was asked the ultimate petrolhead question: if you could only own three cars for the rest of your life, what would they be?
First on his list was the legendary Rolls‑Royce Cullinan — a car he described as a non-negotiable. Armstrong praised the Cullinan for doing exactly what a luxury SUV should do: offering incredible comfort, presence, and refinement without trying to be something it’s not. He even joked that it looks “like a London taxi on steroids”, but in the best possible way.
Next came a completely different type of machine — the iconic manual Lamborghini Murciélago. For Armstrong, the Murciélago represents everything exciting about old-school supercars. The gated manual gearbox, dramatic seating position, and raw Lamborghini character made it impossible for him to leave out of the lineup.
The final choice was slightly controversial at first. Armstrong originally said he only wanted to include cars he had personally driven, which ruled out one dream hypercar. But since then, things have changed dramatically.
After recently rebuilding and getting his crashed Bugatti Chiron back on the road, the Chiron now completes his dream garage. The project has become one of the biggest talking points in the automotive world, with fans following every stage of the rebuild online.
The combination of a luxury SUV, a raw manual supercar, and a world-famous hypercar gives a fascinating insight into Armstrong’s taste in cars — blending comfort, emotion, and extreme performance into one ultimate garage.
